Description
This is a set of First Order General Armitage Hux's uniforms. Another artist here recently drew the regular officers and it came to my attention that the ranks for these uniforms are displayed by literally having them spelled out on the cufftitles. On the original nazi uniforms that these insignias are based on, the cufftitles read what UNIT the wearer was a member of. If the First Order's uniform designers correctly implemented this system, the cufftitle would say what unit the wearer is in, or the name of the ship that they are stationed on, or maybe even what planet. That way you wouldn't have to have officers sticking their hands out so the other personnel could read it and tell what rank they were and the insignia wouldn't be as important because troops stationed together would most likely all have the same cufftitle and rank would be displayed by chest cylinders and rank plaques. Also I don't know why he has two cufftitles if they're both blank. The real nazis only wore blank cufftitles if they were SD (security police), and only wore one. Other than that the uniform serves its purpose as making the wearer look evil and powerful, perhaps even slightly mysterious.
