Wehrmacht Heer General Uniforms

Description

This is a set of generic German WWII army general officer uniforms. It should be noted that these aren't the only ones ever worn, or even the sole variations of each uniform above. On the uniform the first three figures from the left wear, for example, there were many variations. Older generals, especially WWI veterans, had 8 buttons and more piping, while younger generals had 6 buttons and less piping, generally speaking. I assume this is because WWI uniforms had more buttons and piping and the senior generals kept it because of this. 99% of all German officer uniforms were tailor made, sometimes even including the insignia, so literally every single one of them is uniquely fitted, shaped, and cut. The pockets can be angled differently, the tunics can be slightly longer or shorter, and the sewn loops on and around the pockets for awards can be numerous or non-existent. Also, straight trousers could be worn, but was not nearly as common as the old boots and breeches. Ostracized are the tropical uniform variations, which will be in a different set.
